First Visit

Your first visit to Dr. Ian Langer will include a consultation and comprehensive examination of the teeth involved. We will discuss treatment options that are pertinent to your situation. In many cases, we can begin treatment on the same visit. With more complex situations a second appointment may be necessary. Please be sure to bring the following information with you: referral slip and x-rays from your general dentist, detailed dental insurance information, and list of medications you may be taking. Additional digital images will be taken by our office. Please note that patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Appointments

Dr. Ian Langer's Westfield office is open Monday to Friday from 9 am until 6 pm. We provide same day appointments for endodontic emergencies. We allow an hour for all appointments, but given the nature of treating patients, there may be occasions where the time allocated is extended. We value your time and will do everything possible to have you in and out of the office as quickly as possible. Please call us at 908-486-6640 to schedule your appointment. Our office is handicapped accessible with a wheelchair lift. Please let us know if you need assistance.

Financial Policy

Our office accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express in addition to checks and cash. As we provide personal and quality care to each patient, payment is expected at time that services are rendered unless other arrangements are made in advance. Since treatment may take several visits, payments may be made over the course of treatment and is to be paid in full by the final appointment. We will be glad to help you fill out and submit the insurance forms so that your insurance benefits will be paid to you.

Insurance

Regarding dental insurance, this office does participate in some dental insurance programs but not in all plans. As some plans will not make payments to this office, please verify your insurance coverage before treatment and please speak with our receptionist. For those that have dental insurance, we will submit your forms for you. As a courtesy, benefits may be assigned to this office in most instances if desired. Please note though, that your dental insurance is between you and your insurance company. You are responsible for all fees charged by this office subject to participation agreements with your insurance company, and we will bill you for any remaining balance. Your prompt remittance is appreciated.

Directions to the Westfield Office:

From the East or West: Take Route 22 and exit in Springfield onto Springfield Avenue following signs to Westfield. Follow to East Broad Street and turn right onto East Broad Street. Continue along East Broad Street and turn left onto Saint Paul Street (first left past the police station). Continue to 140 Saint Paul Street, on the right.

From the North or South: Take the Garden State Parkway to Exit 135 and follow ramp/circle onto Central Avenue/Westfield. Continue on Central Avenue to the end and make a right turn onto East Broad Street. Once on East Broad, make the 2nd right turn onto Saint Paul Street. Follow to 140 Saint Paul Street, 2nd office before the stop sign on the right.
